When you visit Cristalino Lodge you will be warmly welcomed by the staff and guides. The resident local guides have tremendous knowledge and years of experience because they have lived at the lodge for many years. They have developed a great respect and admiration for the environment and have learnt how to care for visitors and will ensure that your stay is both pleasant and productive. Local Biologists who visit the lodge frequently are also excellent naturalists, though most speak Portuguese only. In recognition of the problem with language, the Cristalino Jungle Lodge now has volunteer native English-speaking guides who will help visitors to interpret and understand the fascinating ecosystems around the lodge. Nearly all of the volunteer guides are experienced birders, and all of them have a University degree or even a PhD.
