This picturesque fishing village, 70 km north of Ilheus, has some of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. Its protected white sand beaches lined with coconut palms and perfect waves make Itacare a very popular surfing destination. Prainha, Jeribucacu, Havaizinho, Itacarezinho and Tiririca are some of the stunning beaches which have made this magnificent region so sought after. The Atlantic Rainforest in this region is preserved and creates a microclimate that is responsible for the hot days and cooler nights. The climate is tropical, ranging between 25°C and 30°C (77°F and 86°F).
